About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT).
• Develop and manage data warehousing solutions and data lakes to support analytical needs.
• Optimize data processes for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and provide necessary data structures.
• Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity across all systems.
• Work with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark and Hadoop.
• Monitor data systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure data availability.
• Stay current with emerging data engineering technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Proven experience designing and building complex data pipelines using tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database technologies (relational and NoSQL).
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Scala.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
