Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing.
- Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into data warehouses or data lakes.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all data systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement data governance best practices and maintain data documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to enhance data infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or Scala for data manipulation and pipeline development.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Data Lake, Google BigQuery).
