Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sophisticated machine learning models for predictive analytics, forecasting, and optimization within the energy domain.
• Clean, process, and analyze large, complex datasets from various energy sources and operational systems.
• Design and execute data mining strategies to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Collaborate with domain experts, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand challenges and define analytical approaches.
• Communicate complex findings and insights effectively through visualizations and reports to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's best practices in data science and machine learning in Derby .

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Data Scientist , with a strong focus on statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data science libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and SQL databases.
• Strong understanding of the energy industry landscape and related data challenges is highly preferred.
• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
