Senior Data Scientist - Energy Analytics

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist specializing in Energy Analytics to join their innovative team. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models for energy forecasting, anomaly detection, and consumption optimization.
• Analyze large, complex datasets from smart meters, grid sensors, and market data to identify trends and patterns.
• Design and implement A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the impact of new energy management strategies.
• Collaborate with energy engineers, software developers, and business analysts to translate data insights into actionable solutions.
• Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices in data science and analytics.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, with a significant focus on energy data analytics .
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques.
• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and SQL is essential.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting .
