Senior Data Scientist

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Data Scientist to join their growing data analytics team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is integral to uncovering insights from complex datasets, building predictive models, and driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their challenges and translate them into data science solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models to address business challenges, such as customer segmentation, fraud detection, and predictive analytics.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of business strategies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data science models into production systems.
• Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Economics.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
• Experience with SQL and familiarity with big data technologies and cloud platforms.
