Senior Data Scientist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and innovative Senior Data Scientist to join their growing team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your preferred UK location. You will be responsible for extracting valuable insights from complex datasets, developing predictive models, and driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. This role is crucial for identifying new opportunities, optimizing business processes, and contributing to strategic initiatives through advanced analytical techniques. You will collaborate with various departments, translating business challenges into data science solutions in a remote-first, agile setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses and measure impact.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through visualizations and reports.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production environments.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and machine learning, and apply them to enhance analytical capabilities.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Data Scientist , with a focus on predictive modeling and machine learning.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong experience with SQL and working with large datasets from various sources.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts simply.
