About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and innovative Senior Data Scientist to join their growing data analytics team in Sunderland . Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to address complex business challenges.
- Clean, process, and analyze large, diverse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and deploy predictive models for forecasting, classification, and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand data needs and translate them into analytical projects.
- Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through visualizations and reports.

Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
- Strong experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and statistical modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with SQL and experience working with large datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
