About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Senior Data Scientist to join their growing data analytics team based in Cardiff . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement advanced statistical and machine learning models to address complex business problems.
• Extract, clean, and transform large, disparate datasets from various sources.
• Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and validate model performance.
• Visualize and communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production environments.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and machine learning techniques.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R and associated libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions and communicate results effectively.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
