About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Data Scientist to join their pioneering research and development team in Cambridge . This role is critical for leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from complex datasets, driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for developing predictive models, designing experiments, and communicating findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical thinker with a proven track record in data science and a passion for solving challenging problems in a cutting-edge, office-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement sophisticated statistical models and machine learning algorithms to address business challenges.
- Clean, transform, and prepare large, complex datasets for analysis and modeling.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop and validate predictive models for applications such as forecasting, classification, and anomaly detection.
- Design and analyze A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of product changes and initiatives.
- Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to stakeholders through reports and presentations.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, or a related analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R.
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and statistical modeling techniques.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and big data platforms (e.g., Spark).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in an office setting.
