About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in CI/CD Automation to join their growing technology team. This hybrid role is central to enhancing our software development lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration, automated testing, and efficient deployment of our applications. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust pipelines, fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams, and driving best practices in infrastructure management. Working from both home and our Glasgow office, you'll have the flexibility to balance your work and personal life while contributing to critical infrastructure projects. You'll work with a dedicated team focused on innovation and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Monitor application and infrastructure performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize build and deployment processes.
- Champion DevOps best practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and infrastructure automation tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
