About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer with a specialization in CI/CD to enhance their development and deployment pipelines in Glasgow . This role is crucial for streamlining our software delivery process, ensuring efficient, reliable, and automated deployments across various environments. You will work closely with development and operations teams to implement best practices, improve system performance, and maintain high availability. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated software builds, testing, and deployments.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve reliability and scalability.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot deployment issues and optimize application performance.
- Manage and automate cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
- Develop and maintain system documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or system administration, with a strong focus on CI/CD.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and experience with IaC tools.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working in agile environments.
