Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Automation

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their cloud automation capabilities in Leeds . In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools that enable rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery. You will work closely with development and operations teams to streamline build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring high availability and performance of production systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using tools such as Terraform , Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Manage and scale cloud environments (AWS , Azure, or GCP), focusing on automation, monitoring, and security.
• Develop and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and system observability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize application performance and reliability in the cloud.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
• Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS , Azure, GCP) and their associated services.
• Expertise in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and monitoring tools.
