About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their cloud automation capabilities in Sunderland . You will be responsible for implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure provisioning, and fostering a collaborative culture between development and operations teams. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Manage and optimize cloud environments on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring security and compliance.
- Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, improve application performance, and implement best practices.
- Implement and enforce security best practices throughout the infrastructure and deployment lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps or System Administration role with a focus on automation.
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
- Strong experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
