Senior DevOps Engineer - Cloud Automation

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their cloud automation capabilities in Sunderland . Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Manage and optimize cloud environments on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring security and compliance.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot issues, improve application performance, and implement best practices.
• Implement and enforce security best practices throughout the infrastructure and deployment lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in a DevOps or System Administration role with a focus on automation.
• Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
• Strong experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
