About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their dedicated team based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . This critical role focuses on building, automating, and scaling cloud infrastructure to support our client's diverse range of software products. You will be at the forefront of implementing best practices in continuous integration, continuous delivery, and system observability. Working within a collaborative office environment, you will partner closely with development and operations teams to streamline processes, enhance system reliability, and drive technological innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application builds, testing, and deployments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Configure and manage cloud resources on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, focusing on scalability and cost optimization.
- Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment-related issues.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps best practices and advocate for infrastructure automation across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or systems engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS , Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Expertise in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and IaC tools.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
