About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join their fully remote team, supporting operations based out of Milton Keynes . In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers their cutting-edge applications, focusing on cloud-native technologies and automation. You will work with a distributed team of engineers to enhance our CI/CD pipelines, improve system reliability, and foster a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and orchestrators like Kubernetes.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure uptime.
- Champion DevOps best practices, including IaC, configuration management, and site reliability engineering principles.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with a strong emphasis on cloud environments.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience working effectively in a remote team setting.
