About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their distributed, remote-first engineering operations across the UK . In this critical role, you will be instrumental in automating and streamlining our development and deployment processes, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure. You will work collaboratively with development and operations teams to foster a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). This position offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to leverage your expertise in cloud technologies and automation to drive significant improvements in our client's operational efficiency and product delivery speed, all within a supportive remote working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins , GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration management, and scaling using tools such as Terraform , Ansible, or Chef.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS , Azure, or GCP, focusing on cost-efficiency and security.
- Implement and maintain containerization solutions using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Develop and enforce security best practices across the infrastructure and deployment lifecycle.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps or related SRE role.
- Strong experience with cloud providers, particularly AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS).
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker , Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and networking concepts.
