About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their infrastructure and deployment pipelines in Bristol . This role is vital for streamlining software development and deployment processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency of their cloud-based systems. You will be instrumental in automating infrastructure, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and fostering a culture of collaboration between development and operations teams. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud technologies, infrastructure as code, and containerization, playing a key role in optimizing system performance and supporting rapid development cycles within a forward-thinking technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and robust cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment strategies.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance across all infrastructure and deployment processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated services.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Solid understanding of networking, security principles, and monitoring tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
