Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join their growing technology division, primarily focusing on supporting their operations in Sunderland . You will be instrumental in automating processes, implementing cutting-edge CI/CD practices, and ensuring the smooth operation of cloud-based systems. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to automate application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure) ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system health and performance.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Automate operational tasks and improve system reliability through scripting and tool development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with a strong understanding of cloud environments.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration like Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system improvement.
