Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join their expanding technology hub in Manchester . In this critical role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring the efficient, scalable, and reliable deployment of applications. You will focus on building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure management, and implementing best practices for monitoring and logging. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and automated infrastructure on cloud platforms like AWS .
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies including Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to optimize the software delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with a strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems.
• Proven experience with cloud providers, particularly AWS , including services like EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices in a cloud environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.
