About the Role
Our client, a leading technology solutions provider based in Reading , is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance their cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will be instrumental in building, automating, and scaling the systems that support their cutting-edge software products. This role involves close collaboration with development and operations teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of their infrastructure. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices. You will have the opportunity to work with a modern cloud stack and contribute significantly to the company's technological advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and testing.
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
- Automate operational tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and deployment strategies.
- Ensure security best practices are implemented across the infrastructure.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps , System Administration, or Software Engineering with a focus on infrastructure.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their associated services.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
- Experience implementing and managing CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
