About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to join their expanding IT operations team in Cambridge . This role is critical for enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our client's software development and deployment processes. You will be responsible for automating infrastructure, building robust CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the seamless operation of production systems. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and scripting, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with development and operations teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Collaborate closely with software developers and QA engineers to ensure smooth integration and deployment.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across all infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps , Systems Engineering, or Cloud Operations.
- Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and their services.
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (Git).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
