About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior DevOps Engineer to join their rapidly expanding technology department in Milton Keynes . This role is crucial for optimizing our software development lifecycle, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for building and maintaining automated systems for deployment, monitoring, and operations, working closely with development and QA teams to streamline processes. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications.
- Develop and maintain robust infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance reliability and scalability.
- Manage and secure cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ensuring compliance and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement preventative measures.
- Establish and enforce best practices for infrastructure as code, security, and operational readiness.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of infrastructure automation.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) and experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to system improvements.
