The Product Analytics and Experimentation team sits within the Data, Analytics and AI directorate in the Technology department. Our mission is to deliver insightful and actionable data through reporting, analysis, and experimentation, with a focus on establishing best-practice processes and enabling data-driven decision making across all supported product teams. The team supports a variety of digital products, among which are the Tesco Groceries & Clubcard app, self-checkout tills in stores, and the Search and Recommenders APIs.

The position can be based either in our office in Farringdon, London, or in our head office in Welwyn Garden City, with some occasional travel to the other office required.

You will be responsible for
This role is within the Online Customer Experience Product Analytics team. You'll partner with CX product teams across the Online shopping space - primarily focused on delivering improvements to the core digital experiences which are consistent across all shopping methods, with potential for some specific support of some of our newer propositions in Online, such as Clothing and Tesco Marketplace. You could be working on analytics of the digital experience of what customers should see entering our site or app, improving search and browse experiences to help customers find the right products, or even enabling customers to pay through the most effortless and simple methods which work for them.
- Form and nurture relationships with your key stakeholders: Product Managers. Work confidently with stakeholders from across multiple disciplines (e.g. UX, Data Product, business teams, Engineering) to optimise products together and recommend opportunities.
- Have a thorough understanding of the product vision and roadmaps
- Demonstrate strong data-based decision-making, articulating this in an environment of trade-offs and competing priorities, when fast decision-making is required.
- Define product and top level objectives & key results, set and monitor targets.
- Define measurement frameworks with stakeholder alignment. Design analytics tracking for products; improve data quality and coverage with engineering and product teams.
- Identify unstructured problems and articulate opportunities for analysis and insight.
- Execute end-to-end analysis: gather and shape analytics requirements; define success metrics, define and validate hypotheses and assumptions, identify and validate sources of data, analyse customer behaviour, deliver insights and recommend opportunities to grow and improve the product.
- Formulate and communicate results using high quality textual, numeric, and graphical methods appropriate to the target audience.
