About the Role

Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Senior Drilling Fluids Engineer to join their technical services team in Sheffield . This hybrid role involves managing and optimizing drilling fluid systems to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operations. You will provide expert technical support for fluid design, performance monitoring, and problem-solving. The position requires a balance of remote analysis and occasional on-site or office-based collaboration to support the company's diverse Oil & Gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage drilling fluid programs tailored to specific well conditions and objectives.
• Monitor drilling fluid performance in real-time and make necessary adjustments.
• Troubleshoot drilling fluid-related problems and provide effective solutions.
• Conduct fluid properties testing and analysis, ensuring quality control.
• Liaise with drilling crews, management, and clients to ensure optimal fluid performance and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Drilling Fluids Engineer in the Oil & Gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of drilling fluid properties, chemistry, and applications.
• Experience with solids control equipment and fluid mixing systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
