Senior E-commerce Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and analytical Senior E-commerce Analyst to join their team in Derby . This role will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making across the e-commerce business. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to identify trends, uncover insights, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize online sales, customer behavior, and marketing effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for data and a proven ability to translate insights into tangible business improvements, working from their Derby office.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze e-commerce sales data, website traffic, customer behavior, and marketing campaign performance to identify key trends and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular insights to stakeholders.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis into customer journeys, conversion funnels, and churn rates to identify areas for improvement.
• Provide data-driven recommendations for website optimization, personalization strategies, and marketing campaign enhancements.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and IT teams to define data requirements and implement tracking solutions.
• Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in e-commerce analytics and data science.

Requirements

• Proven experience (5+ years) as an E-commerce Analyst or similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics) and e-commerce analytics.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights clearly.
