Contract: Senior Ecologist

We are seeking an experienced and confident Senior Ecologist to join our team on a 6+ month contract, working across York, Leeds, Newcastle or Doncaster on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ecological and habitat surveys, assessing species diversity, distribution and behaviour.
• Apply taxonomy, sampling strategies and habitat survey techniques.
• Analyse ecological data and use maps, aerial photography and specialist software.
• Support habitat management/creation, Environmental Impact Assessments and technical reporting.
• Provide ecological advice and recommendations while working with senior management, engineers, planners and site teams.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and keep up to date with environmental legislation and policy.

About You:

You will be an experienced ecologist who can hit the ground running , influence across disciplines, communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels and deliver high-quality ecological assessments and recommendations.
