Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for an accomplished Senior Electrical Design Engineer to bolster their engineering team in Birmingham . You will be responsible for the comprehensive electrical design and specification of innovative solutions across a variety of industrial and commercial sectors. This role demands a proactive approach, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to lead design initiatives from conception to completion. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality electrical designs, encompassing power distribution, lighting, control systems, and earthing.
• Ensure all designs comply with current UK and international electrical standards and building regulations.
• Manage electrical design packages, including drawings, specifications, and bill of materials.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
• Undertake site surveys and inspections to verify design integrity and support installation activities.
• Provide expert technical advice and solutions to complex electrical engineering challenges.

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• A minimum of 6 years' experience in a similar electrical design role, preferably within the UK market.
• Strong knowledge of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) systems design.
• Proficiency in using design software such as Amtech, Dialux, or similar tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
