About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their forward-thinking team based in Leeds . This role focuses on the conceptualization, design, and implementation of innovative electrical systems for a variety of applications. You will be instrumental in translating complex requirements into detailed design specifications and ensuring the technical viability and efficiency of electrical solutions. This position offers a dynamic work environment and the chance to contribute to impactful projects, working with a team dedicated to engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop detailed electrical design schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications for various projects.
Perform calculations for power, load, voltage drop, and component selection.
Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand design requirements and constraints.
Oversee the implementation and testing phases of electrical designs, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Ensure designs meet all relevant safety standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct site surveys and provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases.

Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical , EPLAN, or similar design software.
Solid understanding of electrical codes (e.g., BS 7671) and safety regulations.
Experience with power systems, control panels, and instrumentation is highly valued.
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when working remotely from Leeds .
