About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and innovative Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their progressive team in Leeds . You will be responsible for the detailed design and specification of electrical systems for a range of exciting projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Working closely with project managers and stakeholders, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality electrical solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed electrical schematics , wiring diagrams, and layouts using industry-standard software.
- Perform load calculations, power system analysis , and ensure compliance with BS 7671 wiring regulations.
- Select appropriate electrical components, equipment, and control systems for project requirements.
- Conduct site surveys and inspections to gather data and verify installations.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, bills of materials, and commissioning reports.
Requirements
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within the building services or industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software.
- Solid understanding of electrical principles, power distribution, and control systems.
- Familiarity with relevant UK and international electrical standards and building codes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setup.
