Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively searching for a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their established team in Portsmouth . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems and schematics for new and existing products, adhering to strict specifications.
• Perform detailed calculations and simulations for power, signal integrity, and thermal management.
• Create and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation for electrical assemblies.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and test teams to ensure designs are producible and meet quality standards.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in electrical design, with a focus on product development.
• Proficiency in circuit design , schematic capture (e.g., Altium, Cadence), and PCB layout.
• Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics, power supplies, and embedded systems.
• Experience with testing and validation methodologies for electrical components.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
