Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their innovative product development team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute to cutting-edge projects from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design of electrical systems for new product lines, from initial concept through to manufacturing support. This role is ideal for an engineer who excels in a remote setting, possesses strong analytical skills, and is passionate about creating high-quality, reliable electrical solutions. You will collaborate closely with a remote team of engineers and product managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical circuits and systems for new consumer electronic products.
• Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Perform component selection, vendor evaluation, and ensure supply chain readiness.
• Conduct design reviews, simulations, and analysis to ensure product performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues encountered during product development and testing phases.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical and firmware engineers to ensure seamless product integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical design, specifically within product development.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium, KiCad, Eagle).
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power management, and embedded systems.
• Experience with testing equipment and methodologies for electrical validation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills suitable for a remote team environment.
