Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team, offering a completely remote working opportunity. Based from home, you will contribute to critical projects within the Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK region and beyond. Your expertise will be vital in designing innovative electrical solutions, leading technical aspects of projects, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and development of complex systems and products from initial concept through to production.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system architectures using industry-standard software.
• Perform calculations and simulations for power distribution, signal integrity, and component selection.
• Oversee and conduct rigorous testing and validation of electrical designs, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers and manufacturing engineers, in a remote capacity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in electrical design and engineering.
• Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN) for schematic and layout design.
• Strong knowledge of power systems , control logic, and embedded systems.
• Experience with testing methodologies and using electrical test equipment.
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in conveying technical information remotely.
