Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proficient Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial for developing and refining the electrical systems that underpin our client's innovative products. You will be responsible for taking designs from initial concept through to detailed schematics and implementation, working closely with cross-functional teams. As a senior member, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to design strategy, mentor less experienced engineers, and ensure the highest standards of electrical design are met, all within a flexible, remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design process for new and existing products, from conceptualization to final documentation.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams using industry-standard software.
• Specify electrical components and ensure their compliance with relevant standards and project requirements.
• Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during prototype development and production phases.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure seamless integration.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably in product development.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle).
• Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design, power management, and embedded systems.
• Experience with electrical testing methodologies and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, coupled with excellent remote communication capabilities.
