Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their established team in Edinburgh . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical circuits and systems for new product introductions.
- Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts , and supporting documentation using CAD tools.
- Perform thorough circuit analysis and simulations to verify design integrity and performance.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Conduct design reviews, component selection, and cost analysis for electrical designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues encountered during prototyping, testing, and production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design and development.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer).
- Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, microcontrollers, and power management.
- Experience with embedded systems and firmware integration is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
