About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their established team in Edinburgh . This role is integral to the design and development of innovative electrical products and systems, contributing to the company's reputation for quality and performance. You will take ownership of design projects, from initial concept through to production, ensuring all specifications are met with precision and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of electrical circuits and systems for new product introductions.
Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts , and supporting documentation using CAD tools.
Perform thorough circuit analysis and simulations to verify design integrity and performance.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration.
Conduct design reviews, component selection, and cost analysis for electrical designs.
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues encountered during prototyping, testing, and production.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design and development.
Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer).
Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics, microcontrollers, and power management.
Experience with embedded systems and firmware integration is desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
