Job Description
Senior Electrical Design Engineer
We are hiring an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support projects for our Asset Management business platform. You will take a fully supported leading role in all aspects of projects, from scoping and detailed design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and current regulatory standards, with a strong focus on low‑carbon solutions.
Responsibilities
- Meeting with clients to discuss specific intervention requirements.
- Carrying out intrusive Electrical and ICA site surveys to identify the most appropriate and yet innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Planning and implementing projects in association with our Delivery Management teams.
- Leading the development of Electrical and ICA design deliverables with assigned team members.
- Coaching junior engineers through proactive 1‑2‑1 sessions to develop future engineering leaders.
- Providing technical guidance on EICA matters to the wider project team and Senior Management.
Qualifications
- Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Ideally already achieved or close to achieving Chartered Engineer status.
- Detailed EICA specialist knowledge of British and European design standards, including Wimes.
- Proven track record as a Senior Electrical Engineer in both design office and construction environments within the water or related process industry.
- A passion to succeed and develop your own and your team’s career.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
