Key Responsibilities
- Design and plan electrical distribution systems, including overhead lines, underground cables, and substations.
- Develop project scopes, specifications, and cost estimates for network upgrades and maintenance.
- Analyze network performance data and identify areas for improvement to enhance reliability and capacity.
- Oversee the construction and commissioning of new distribution assets, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Provide technical support and expertise to field operations teams and other departments.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical distribution engineering.
- Strong understanding of power distribution principles, equipment (transformers, switchgear), and protection schemes.
- Proficiency in using relevant software for network analysis and design (e.g., GIS, PSS/E, AutoCAD).
- Knowledge of current industry trends, such as smart grids and distributed generation.
- Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
