Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Building Services to join their established consultancy in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for the electrical design and specification of building services for a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and public sector projects. This role demands technical expertise, project management skills, and the ability to lead design teams. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design for building services, including lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems.
- Produce detailed design calculations, specifications, and drawings using relevant software.
- Manage electrical engineering aspects of projects, coordinating with other disciplines and contractors.
- Conduct site surveys, inspections, and provide technical support during construction phases.
- Ensure designs comply with Building Regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and other relevant standards.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians within the building services team.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in electrical building services design.
- Proficiency with Revit MEP , AutoCAD, and relevant electrical design software.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and energy efficiency standards.
- Experience in managing project deliverables and client relationships.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
