Senior Electrical Engineer - Grid Integration

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering for grid connection of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage.
• Develop and review grid connection studies, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Liaise directly with grid operators, ensuring compliance with all relevant connection agreements and standards.
• Provide expert technical guidance on electrical systems, protection, and power quality issues.
• Manage external engineering consultants and contractors involved in grid integration works.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and technical standards for grid connection within the company.

Requirements

• BEng/MEng or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in electrical engineering, specifically focusing on grid connection of generation assets.
• In-depth knowledge of power systems, network codes, and grid integration principles.
• Experience with high-voltage substations, protection systems, and power system modelling software.
• Proficiency in project management and a strong ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions.
