Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Distribution

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive expertise in power distribution to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role will lead the design, development, and oversight of complex electrical distribution networks for large-scale infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of power systems, working closely with a distributed team of engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical distribution systems , substations, and grid connections.
• Perform complex power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, stability, and protection coordination analysis.
• Develop technical specifications, engineering drawings , and project documentation for power distribution infrastructure.
• Oversee and guide junior engineers and technical staff in the execution of design tasks and project deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry codes, standards (e.g., NESC, IEC), and regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for power distribution systems throughout their lifecycle, working effectively in a remote capacity.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in the design and engineering of electrical power distribution systems.
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex power engineering projects.
• In-depth knowledge of power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DigSilent).
• Strong understanding of grid integration, protection schemes, and substation design.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, suitable for a remote environment.
