Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Electronics & Drives

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with specialized knowledge in Power Electronics and Drives to join their cutting-edge product development team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute to innovative designs from your own workspace. You will be instrumental in the conceptualization, design, and testing of advanced power electronic systems and motor drive solutions for a variety of applications. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of high-performance power electronic converters (e.g., AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC).
• Design and optimize motor drive systems for various industrial and automotive applications.
• Perform detailed circuit design, simulation, and analysis using industry-standard tools.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for prototypes and production units.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, firmware, and software engineering teams in a remote setting .
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to R&D strategy.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Electronics.
• 8+ years of experience in the design and development of power electronics and variable speed drives .
• Deep understanding of semiconductor devices, control algorithms, and circuit topologies.
• Proficiency in simulation tools such as SPICE, PLECS, or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with PCB design and layout considerations for high-power applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective remote teamwork .
