Senior Electrical Engineer - Power Systems

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer with a specialization in Power Systems to join their innovative team in Glasgow . This role is essential for the design, analysis, and implementation of robust power solutions for various projects. You will work within a collaborative environment, leveraging your expertise to solve complex challenges and contribute to the development of efficient and reliable electrical infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and analyze electrical power systems, including distribution networks, substations, and protection schemes.
• Perform load flow studies, fault analysis, and transient stability simulations using industry-standard software.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant national and international electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate power systems seamlessly with other engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers on the team.
• Conduct site visits for project assessment, commissioning support, and troubleshooting as required.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the design and analysis of electrical power systems.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software such as PSS/E, ETAP, or DigSilent PowerFactory.
• Strong understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution principles.
• Experience with HV/MV equipment and substations is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
