Senior Electrical Engineer - Renewable Energy

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with a specialization in Renewable Energy to join their expanding, fully remote team. You will be instrumental in the design and development of electrical systems for innovative renewable energy projects, including solar farms and wind energy installations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design of renewable energy projects, including site layout, component selection, and system integration.
• Develop and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and control philosophies for solar PV and wind turbine systems.
• Perform feasibility studies, energy yield assessments, and grid connection studies.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and local grid codes.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, site engineers, and clients in a remote setting.
• Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and operational phases of projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Significant experience (6+ years) in the design and engineering of renewable energy systems .
• In-depth knowledge of solar PV technology, wind turbine electrical systems, and energy storage solutions.
• Proficiency with simulation software for renewable energy systems (e.g., PVsyst, HOMER, DigSilent).
• Experience with grid connection requirements and utility interconnection standards.
• Strong ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively in a remote, international team environment.
