Senior Electrical Engineer - Renewables

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in Renewable Energy systems to join their expanding operations in Belfast . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and engineering for renewable energy projects, including solar farms and battery storage systems.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and component specifications.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and grid connection assessments.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations for renewable energy installations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in Belfast .

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with specific experience in renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS) , and grid integration.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and power system analysis tools.
• Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with Northern Ireland's energy market and regulatory landscape is advantageous.
