Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their established team in Leeds . This role is crucial for designing and implementing robust electrical systems for a variety of exciting projects. You will play a key role in ensuring the technical integrity and successful execution of electrical designs, working closely with project managers and other engineering disciplines. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical systems and components according to project requirements and specifications.
• Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and documentation using industry-standard software.
• Conduct electrical calculations , including load flow, fault analysis, and grounding studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with mechanical, structural, and control systems.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers on the team.
• Perform site visits and inspections as required to support project execution and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical design and engineering.
• Proficiency in ECAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, SOLIDWORKS Electrical, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations (e.g., BS 7671).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a dedicated, co-located project team.
