About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly capable Senior Electrical Engineer to contribute to their ongoing projects within the manufacturing and industrial sectors. This role, based in Derby , requires a hands-on approach to designing, implementing, and testing electrical systems for complex machinery and facilities. You will work as part of a dedicated engineering team, ensuring that all electrical installations meet stringent safety, quality, and performance standards. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, power distribution systems, and control panels for industrial applications.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment and systems on-site.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards.
• Provide technical support to maintenance teams and troubleshoot electrical faults and issues.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in electrical engineering , preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in using CAD software for electrical design (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Strong understanding of power systems, motor control, and automation technologies.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a strong emphasis on safety.
