About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their fully remote technical team, playing a vital role in the design and implementation of electrical systems for the Oil & Gas industry . This position is key to ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical power distribution, control systems, and instrumentation for onshore and offshore facilities. You will leverage your extensive expertise to provide technical leadership, design oversight, and support for complex projects, all managed remotely. This role offers the chance to significantly influence project outcomes while enjoying substantial flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and specification of electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and protection.
Develop single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and wiring schematics.
Oversee the procurement and installation of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
Ensure electrical designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC).
Conduct technical reviews and provide expert support for electrical troubleshooting and commissioning.
Mentor junior electrical engineers and contribute to the development of best practices.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with significant experience in the Oil & Gas sector .
Strong knowledge of hazardous area classifications and associated equipment.
Proficiency with electrical design software and simulation tools.
Experience with power systems analysis and protection studies is highly desirable.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and remote communication skills.
