About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join their expanding team in Edinburgh . This role involves managing the full lifecycle of electrical engineering projects, from initial planning and design through to execution and handover. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality and technical performance. This hybrid role requires collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders, offering a challenging yet rewarding career opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical engineering projects, defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress against them.
- Oversee the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Communicate project status and performance to senior management and stakeholders regularly.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in project engineering or project management within the electrical sector.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, controls, and instrumentation.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project).
