About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Electronics Engineer to join their dynamic team, offering remote working flexibility with a base in Reading . This role will involve leading the design and development of complex electronic circuits and systems for next-generation products. You will be responsible for the full product lifecycle, from concept and schematic design to prototyping, testing, and production support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in analog and digital electronics, PCB design, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of electronic innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex analog and digital electronic circuits and systems.
- Create detailed schematics, perform component selection, and design Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) using industry-standard CAD tools.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for prototypes and production units to ensure performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electronic design issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with firmware and software engineers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the electronics team.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in electronics design and development.
- Expertise in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro).
- Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI principles.
- Experience with mixed-signal design, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
