About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Senior Electronics Engineer to join their innovative R&D department based in Leeds . You will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of cutting-edge electronic circuits and systems. This position involves working on diverse projects, from conceptualization to production, contributing your expertise to create state-of-the-art products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of analogue and digital electronics, with a passion for problem-solving and a drive for technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new electronic circuits and systems from concept through to prototype.
- Perform detailed analysis and simulation of electronic designs using industry-standard tools.
- Create comprehensive schematics, PCB layouts, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of electronic prototypes to ensure performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and software developers to integrate electronic solutions into larger systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electronic design issues during development and production.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in electronics design.
- Strong knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design principles.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout software (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD).
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
- Familiarity with microcontroller-based systems and embedded programming is advantageous.
