About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join their innovative product development team in Reading . This role is at the forefront of designing and developing the next generation of intelligent electronic devices. You will be responsible for the entire embedded system lifecycle, from hardware-software co-design and firmware development to testing and deployment. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test embedded firmware and software for microcontrollers and embedded processors.
- Engage in hardware-software co-design and bring-up activities for new product development.
- Implement and optimize real-time operating systems (RTOS) and device drivers.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for embedded systems, including unit, integration, and system testing.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex hardware and software issues in development and production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, and product managers, to define system requirements and ensure successful product delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering , Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Significant experience (6+ years) in embedded systems design and development .
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems.
- Experience with various microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM, PIC) and peripherals.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS), communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART), and debugging tools.
- Familiarity with hardware debugging techniques and tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
